Vol. 5 No. 2 (2022): Histrionic narrative: freedom and rights
"What is the story we tell ourselves, what defines us in the world? In short, reflection on freedom and independence has led us, as if hand in hand, to ask ourselves who we are".
The set of works that we are pleased to offer the reader in this issue responds to this concern. The timing is opportune, as Latin America is currently undergoing a period of profound political change. That is why we have focused on studying the way in which the historical narrative influences our law and our vision of freedom and to stop and reflect on what we are, on our history and our values. When there is an attempt, not only in Latin America, to abandon the values and legal principles that have sustained our civilization until today, it is necessary to study the past in order to perceive how the historical narrative has conditioned our values and the perception we have of ourselves.
