Abstract

During the last few weeks, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia has been the most frequent topic of conversation, so I guess many of you have the same question: why do wars happen? History has shown us that clashes leave destruction, wounded, orphans and a long list of aftermath. However, they have always happened and, it seems, they repeat themselves. But why? Economic motivations, trade conflicts and control of natural resources are important causes, but they are not enough.
