Abstract

From the beginning, the American political scientist took into account that the dangers of nationalism and religious radicalism had not disappeared. They are ghosts that fly over democratic airs to the point of sometimes degrading them. Impossible to forget the Balkan War, the terrorist attacks, the Islamic State, among others, that occurred after the fall of the Berlin Wall. However, after the election of Donald Trump and the referendum held in Great Britain that culminated in what we know as Brexit, he felt the need to write Identity.
