Resumen

La epístola de Santiago contiene tres secciones sobre los ricos y los pobres. En 5:1–6, Santiago condena a los terratenientes ricos por oprimir a sus trabajadores pobres. Al interactuar con las enseñanzas judías sobre el uso adecuado de la riqueza, Santiago promueve una alternativa al mal uso de los recursos por parte de los ricos a quienes se dirige. La visión de Santiago para el uso de nuestros recursos es que se han de utilizar de manera dinámica y justa; y con una mayor urgencia mientras nos vamos acercando a «los últimos días», con una preocupación por el amor a nuestros vecinos. Se sugieren varias formas de usar el dinero de esta manera.
