Abstract

Following the 2020 pandemic, the influence of international organizations like the UN and the World Economic Forum became more evident, sparking debate about globalism and totalitarianism in the 21st century. Worldwide health measures and supranational governance revealed an interconnected world increasingly driven by global agendas. While globalization has historically brought cultural and economic benefits, concerns arise over concentrated power, national sovereignty loss, and the imposition of uniform policies. Key questions emerge about who sets these agendas, how they are funded, and the means of enforcement. This scenario presents challenges to individual freedom, cultural identity, citizen participation, and religious traditions. Are we living under a de facto world government? The philosophy of liberty, citizen rights, and new social organizations may offer insights to understand and respond to this evolving reality. This reflection invites a deeper exploration of the values and threats behind contemporary global governance and the future of freedom in a globalized world.
