Go woke, go broke! This expression, which can be translated as "if you become progressive, you'll go
broke," expresses and summarizes a phenomenon that has been observable since 2024. In companie —especially large US-based multinationals—ESG management positions are disappearing. ESG refers to regulations guided by political criteria on environmental, social, and corporate governance issues (Environmental, Social, and Governance). Positions for experts in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) are also being eliminated.
