Guía para editores invitados de la revista Fe y Libertad

Guide for associate editors of Faith & Freedom Magazine

What is an associate editor (this is the role for which we are inviting you)?
An associate editor is a specialist with proven academic ties who is guaranteed to edit a thematic issue of the journal. He/she shares with the editor the responsibility for the scientific and academic quality of the issue he/she edits.

What is the role of the editorial director? (Moris Polanco has this role and you would work with him and that is why we describe his role below).
The editorial director of a scientific journal is the one who guarantees the scientific and academic quality of what the journal publishes; therefore, he/she has the obligation to resolve the ethical flaws that may possibly be found in some of the manuscripts. He/she must be a specialist with strong academic links in the discipline to which the journal is addressed and have knowledge of the editorial environment in which it is inserted. In addition, he/she accompanies each of the stages of the editorial process and is responsible for keeping abreast of the actions of the work team, in which all members are of vital importance for the sustainability of the publication over time.

What is the role of the editorial and administrative coordinator? (This role is covered by Camilo Bello, he would support you and Moris).

The editorial and administrative coordinator supports the editorial director and associate editor in their functions. He/she keeps administrative control, enforces the editorial process of the magazine and ensures timeliness and quality. Although this position has more functions, these are the ones related to the associate editor.Who can be associate editors?
