Abstract

This research paper presents some thoughts regarding the relationship between the Late Scholastics and the liberal ideology. First of all, we will dig into the meaning of liberalism and why some people point out the thought of Doctors of the School of Salamanca as one of the main sources of liberalism. There will also be a discussion about the possible dialogue between capitalism and the Christian ethos. Finally, an Austrian point of view will be introduced as an issue that matters.
